Brendel Elementary Gathers 2,791 Rolls of  Toilet Paper for  Community Closet

The students of Brendel Elementary did an amazing thing - in only five days they collected more than 2,791 rolls of toilet paper!  Lead by the school's three kindergarten classes, the students worked hard to count and stack the hundreds and hundreds of rolls that eventually filled the stage in their gynmnasium.  "I've been to a lot of elementary schools to receive gifts," stated Jon Manse, Director of Community Service, "but we've never received anything like this before!"

St. John Vianney Students 

Bring in more than

1000 HOPE IN A BOX items

In just two short weeks, the students of St. John Vianney in Flint brought in more than 1000 personal needs items (including more than 300 rolls of toilet paper) to help fill the shelves of our Holy Angels Community Closet! The winning class for the month (elementary) was the First Grade delivering more than 141 items, with the Eighth Grade class winning the middle school level. Anyone interested in learning more about Hope in a Box or Hope in a Box for Kids, can contact 810-232-9950 x226/x228.
